KnicksCity.com Forum Rules
These forum rules have been instituted to keep the community in line and to insure that Knicks City maintains its fun and enjoyable atmosphere. Rule violations will result in a warning from a moderator, but multiple rule violations will most likely result in either a temporary or permanent ban of the violator’s account and IP address.
Forum Topics:
-Pornography, promotion of illegal drugs, discussion or promotion of piracy/warez, or any other offensive material is strictly prohibited.
-Using the KnicksCity.com Forums to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law is STRICTLY PROHIBITED and will not be tolerated. Depending on the severity of the post, it will be deleted and the author issued a warning or suspension.
-Members are not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by them or by KnicksCity.com. Members should avoid posting articles from other websites in their entirety. Excerpts from articles with links to the full articles are permitted, however.
-All members should refrain from using excessive vulgar language. While small amounths of light profanity are permitted, ridiculous strings of “bad words” and repeated profanity in the majority of a member’s posts is not.
-At no time and under no circumstances should a member “flame” another member of Knicks City. These forums were set up for mature discussions, not childish arguments. Abuse (verbal, typed, written, or however) toward any member will not be tolerated.
-Personal attacks in any form are strictly prohibited. KnicksCity moderators and administrators will determine if a member's post includes a personal attack, then take the appropriate actions.
-Spamming and flooding is not allowed. Spam is considering any advertisement of a business, website, or anything else. If you wish to advertise your website or business, do so within your signature or contact Knicks City (advertising@knickscity.com) to purchase advertising space. Members who flood (two or three consecutive posts in the same topic by the same member) will be warned by a moderator.
User Profiles:
-Offensive words or expressions are not permitted in usernames.
-Avatars must be no larger than 100x100 pixels, no larger than 20k file size, and must not display adult or illegal content.
*-Signatures may contain a maximum of ONE image measuring no longer than 450 pixels long by 100 pixels wide. Signatures of unreasonable length will be trimmed by one of our moderators and the member will be notified.
Moderator Disagreements:
-If any member feels he or she has been treated wrongly or unjustly by a Knicks City moderator, he or she should contact an administrator via Private Message (PM) or e-mail an administrator: phil AT knickscity.com. The message should include all posts by the member which relate to the dispute, along with the username of the moderator.
Administrators reserve the right to ban any member’s account without warning. Moderators do not have the ability to ban accounts; the ban must be approved by an administrator first.
