I totally agree. I think this could be huge for us. Kwame may have had a tough run in Washington, but it's clear that he has a ton of talent. I wouldn't doubt at all that he gets us 15 and 10 very soon, and I believe Zeke will find a way to aquire him.

Last year I predicted either Antoine Walker or Antawn Jamison, when they were both Mavericks, would be a Knick before the season started. I was wrong.
This year I'll predict either Kwame Brown or Donyell Marshall. I would like Kwame, as long as we don't draft Taft... haha. |

Phil, we could use both Brown and Taft. Our lack of true size and strength in the middle is appaling. Kurt Thomas should be a role player, not our go to post option. Trade him for Kwame in a sign and trade, put Kwame at the 5, Sweets at the 4, draft a PG (Paul Williams Felton) and let them start, move Steph to the 2, get Ariza plenty of minutes off the bench at 3, Crawford plent of minutes at 1-3 of the bench, and all of a sudden you have a young nucleus of complimentary players that can grow.

You are definitely correct... Kurt Thomas is playing too big a role... I think Crawford is as well. I don't really know if Taft is the right guy though; I don't think anyone knows, actually. It looks as if he has a lot of upside, but maybe the risk of him being a complete bust is too high.

I really want this guy to succeed...He's made some bad choices, n he's been through a lot of stuff wit all the pressures n some hard knocks on him.
He still can be a good player in this league, maybe not a superstar as advertised, but a solid double double guy, and he's young and athletic... If we can get this guy, we need to 1. not overpay 2. Express sincere confidence in him 3. be careful with his fragile psyche...the fans in NY I am sure can be a lot rougher than he's already seen... |

i really think he's a good fit for the knicks. he's NOT another undersized center, he can rebound, score in the post and he's a pretty descent defender. what isiah can't do is trade away kurt thomas. i love kurt and he's there best low post defender, can hit the outside jumper consistently and he comes to play every night. he's obviously not a go-to player but he has to stay. i believe kwame is going to be a free-agent this summer so they can do a sign and trade and get rid of mo taylor. he's a good player too but he can't play D. i just hope isiah isn't stupid in this years draft like scott layden aka the greatest GM in history..........(note that was sarcasm). there really isn't anyone i see in this draft that can really help the knicks besides andrew bogut. i like julius hodge and hakim warrick is also a good player too. anyway, this offseason i am hoping for a quality head coach, a good draft and signing kwame brown because he's needs a change of scenery. |

I'd love to see Kwame on the Knicks, but I don't see where he'd fit in. I don't like Kurt Thomas playing the 5; pick and rolls with Stephon, with him at the 4 are what I'd like to see, and a frontline with Tim Thomas, Kurt Thomas and Kwame would be undersized at each position (outside of Tim, but he doesn't seem like much of a banger or one that can help out on bigger guys.

Kwame is about 7 feet, and what 240-50 pounds? I think he isn't the strongest guy, but he makes sense at center, especially in the east, there is no reason that with his skills...and this is abig if and a leap...he could be a top 5 center in the east

And have him guard guys like Shaq, Brendan Haywood, Dalembart, etc.? I just don't like the matchups for him at the position.
