Seems like the big stories around here are the NBA Draft and who our next coach might be... but what's important to the rest of the NBA is that we are down to just four teams in the playoffs. http://forums.knickscity.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif Who comes out on top, Detroit or Miami?

I'm going with Miami in six games. This is a tough one... but I think Detroit has a better chance than anyone else because they have big bodies and good defenders; they won't need to double-team Shaq as much and that will allow them to keep good pressure on Wade, hopefully containing the two. They even have a chance to win this series if they play as a team and start getting serious.

What do you guys think?

Detroit in 5, said it a while ago. This is the same thing that happened last year with the Lakers, except with a more unhealthy Shaq, and an unexperienced guard in Dwyane. Everyone said last year that Kobe was forcing up shots and such, and what happened to Dwyane yesterday? I'm a big fan of his, but still, he's had an easy path here, so we'll see how he ends up doing in this series.

I think it's a very good matchup and can go either way, but I am pulling for the Heat. I think if they put Shaq and Mourning out on the court it can certainly stop the Wallaces, and Dwayne Wade won't have a bad game every game of the series. It should be an awesome series to watch.

I believe Brown will make adjustments and when Mourning and Shaq are on the court he will bring Rasheed out to the 3 pt line and abuse either he or shaq.

2-1 Miami. At this point, I say Miami in 7.

I can't waiver, stern needs a good series for ratings Pistons are playing lack D ON Miami.

We haven't seen Detroit play right since the 1st game.

Detroit now will be focus and Miami won't win another game, ZO has a curse on him on ECF games http://forums.knickscity.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif

Pistons should win 2 straight and close that series out...miami just doesn't seem to have the mental toughness at crunch time.

Down 3-2, the pressure is on for the Pistons. I still think it will go to seven games... Pistons should come through tonight.

'Sheed guaranteed tonight, and Wade is hurt. There'll definitely be a game 7.

Miami really couldn?t do a thing without Wade. It?s going to be a close game seven.

Miami is gonna be so nervous after the blow out against the defending champs.'

Everybody saw how well detroit plays defense, pistons by 10

Detriot by 10 sounds about right. Miami will not be blown out at home, but I just don't see them winning without Wade, that's more than fine with me! The Heat and the Spurs would have been just as exciting, but I really can't force myself to pull for either of those teams.

i swear if detroit wins the ratings for the nba finals will be horrible. no one including me wants to watch two boring teams that just play defense. san antonio is almost as boring as the utah jazz. who wants to watch tim duncan bank jump shots all night? the only exciting thing the pistons have is tayshaun and billups, other than that they're just plain boring to watch. at least with a miami vs. san antonio finals people will watch it because of dwyane wade and shaq, two superstars. it's ok though as long wade plays tomorrow night they'll be fine and they'll win game 7. detroit sucks i don't care if they're defending champs.

that last game was absolutely painful to watch. But even without Wade, I think Miami will pull it together and finish without him. Shaq will need to step it up and have a 30+ game and Eddie Jones will need to actually make some shots. I mean they all played absolutely terrible last game, hopefully it won't happen again

The only reason why the series went seven is because of the NBA wanting better ratings for a championship series since the euro boys (phoenix) got exposed early on.

The NBA didn't want to see Detroit destroy that (star power) of shaq and wade in ratings, like last yrs finals with shaq and kobe being humilated going up against (team play by the Pistons)in 5 games.

I disagree about finals being boring when spurs plays the pistons.

#1 You are gonna see the game being played the "right way" for a change from both teams.
#2 Star players will have to be even more creative to shine knowing that the opponents are really good at what they do(locking teams up).

# 3 Both these teams have superior coaches that have guys 6"10 or taller who can knock down 3's(wallace-horry) so the matchups are gonna be fun to watch.

I actually love watching the spurs...They probably have one of the most exciting (and winning, which is more important) backcourts in the league...both parker n gino are good defenders, both are athletic to the basket, both can shoot and pass...just a complete backcourt...

Sure, they area technically sound team, but watching them execute their system is actually amazing to watch beuz they are just that good a basketball team...the pistons, the pistons are great too, but i would say that they can be boring to watch, cuz they have trouble scoring...I think SA plays great D, but wont ever get into the droughts the pistons get into...

the spurs are a good team and i love basketball but the spurs have no flare in the way they play. it's just not exciting. ginobli is somewhat of an exciting player and parker is alright and as good as duncan is i would never pay to watch this guy play. he's so boring.

before i mentioned how the ratings will be horrible if the pistons make it to the finals. that stuff really doesn't mean anything to me but i won't enjoy that series. it'll be a 5 game series and the spurs will win and no one will care. i want miami to win tonight. shaq and wade are a great combo and hopefully they will both be healthy tonight.

Excuse me but who was the finals MVP last yr......CHA CHA CHA CHAUNCEY BILLUPS.

Rip hamilton took the torch from reggie miller and can be unstoppable !

What do I have to say about Tayshaun (i can defend anybody) prince.

I am still saying Detroit will win, did anybody but me think they would crush the FAKERS???

I'm taking Spurs in...I'll say 6, I owe the pistons, the defneding champs, at least 2 games...I think they are just too sound...and the pistons play great D, the spurs do to, plus they dont go into those extended droughts...inexperience (dooling, rasual, damon) and obviously the injury to D wade hurt miami a lot, not knocking the Pistonsa t all, great team, but I think their lack of scoring and offensive execution at times will do them in against San An

As much as I would like to see Detriot win, I think San Antonio will take them. The Spurs are dangerous, they can pick up any style of game and make it their own.

What are you guys been watching ??

Spurs played against a team with no defensive toughness what soever in phoenix and you are gonna say pistons can't score?

Detroit will show all of you that their experience and their ability to sac up at crunch time and put fear in opposing teams when it matters.

It doesn't matter who the pistons play they had the hardest route the the finals and will be rumble ready , while the spurs kicked back losing their game edge.

Pop is a great motivator , but billups will abuse parker and duncan will be dealt with by sheed.
Put Bowen on rip and prince will live in the post destroying ginoblli.

I knew the excuses would come out but if you all remember in ecf, the team that wins the 1st game usually wins the series.

TNT announcers didn't even know how to commentate about how the pistons won. LOL

They wanted shaq to win so bad it was pathetic and the refs calls in the first half halted a blow out from the pistons.

If you couldn't see those bogus phantom calls then you had on the rosecolored glasses that stern had on wanting shaq against duncan. Detroit wins NBA finals in 7
