I'm going to get roasted by you guys for saying this........

but don't sleep on the Gall!

He hasn't played for 3 months! He'll get more playing time against Philly. We know this kid can stroke it and he's learning to deal with the pain in his back.

Lets give him some support fellas. Stop the hating.

gallo looked just like he did over the summer. NOT READY FOR THE NBA. this kid is no where near ready to compete on this level. he couldnt even slide his feet on defense. he looked like he was hopping around. once other teams get the scouting report on him he will be on the bench asap. i wonder what that will do to his confidence.

Whoa Alley...no one is throwing anyone under the bus. I love the Knicks - even Curry (he's still a member!).

I just think Curry should get into better shape and then D'Antoni will have every reason to play him.

I couldn't agree with you more. Gallo looked like a fish out of water. I expected this to happen. I think anyone who has had a 3 month layoff and never played in an NBA game in his life and never played at the Garden would be lost a bit.

Look for the next couple of games for the Gall to get his feet wet and gain some confidence.

If he stinks it up this year I'll happily eat my words but for now i'm going to give the kid a chance.

I didn't see that but i did see where D'antoni was showing film during practice and Cablevision blocked the word ass during the segment.

From the coach's mouth:

"There's no way I would do that to the fans," he said.

“If y’all are going to read my lips during the game there is a lot of stuff I’ll be saying that, probably I’ll have to be like a football coach," he added while he covered his mouth with a piece of paper. "We’ll do that for now on, if that’s news.

"I’m really happy the way the team responded and the crowd was fantastic last night. I thought it was a great opening night. That should be the story . . . There will be times when I lose it. And that’s from adrenaline and wanting to win so much. There was no way I had any animosity toward anybody. I thought the fans were great last night. But it’s not always going to be great and not always going to be fun and roses, but I’m really not going to get into, well, you might have said something and I read your lips and I overheard somebody say . . . You know guys, we just played a really good game and I’m really happy with the fans. The atmosphere was great and they can expect more of the same. And we’re going to go into the Garden and hope it’s rocking and I know they’ll support the team and we’ll support them and go forward."

he is full of it. i saw the entire thing. he paused looked at the crowd and said "you have to be fuking kidding me, and then said " you bunch of assholes". its only a matter of time before it ends up on youtube and fans will see this and he most likely will get booed. i will put money on it.

i thought a reporter said that he was directing that at the refs. So lemme get this straight playa when your boyfriend Larry Brown (another ego driven coach) says shit to players or to the media its ok, but one sentence from D'Antoni (whose playing style actually suits the personnel we have) and it's not ok.

I am sorry.........but all of us in my opinion should be more interested in that W/L column more than anything else.

If he continues with his game plan and we end up with a 0.500 or better record with this group.......hey I am fine with that.

It is also important to note that the Garden crowd in NY hates Steph. There was ONE small section of the Garden that was calling for Steph.........the rest of the crowd was booing when they heard "We want Steph" or did you guys forget that small part???

On the road........the crowd doesn't care........they are going to boo everyone on the Knicks. This is why I think that in Philly, Steph might get some playing time. At home, we need the crowd behind us. On the road, it is already against us.

To me it is a smart move by D'Antoni.
