| Cat I agree with you front line, but ny is silly with isiah sabatoging the team, leaving it to dantoni and walsh to fix it.

| I don't think half of those teams can keep up with the running tempo that NY is going to play, running the ball up and down the court. Lee runs the floor like a guard, and according to reports, ZBo ran the floor very well in Saratoga. That's the beauty of the system. It forces other teams to change their style to adjust on defense, and makes OUR defensive assignments easier. Dalembert, Chandler and maybe Duncan can keep up with a running team that much. The rest, I'm not so sure. You guys are killing me though. You are already giving the Knicks a 22-72 record and they haven't even stepped onto the court yet. You are already labeling Gallinari a fragile bust and we haven't even started the preseason yet. RELAX and give the team a chance. You can pronounce them dead at Christmas, but not before then. |

| Hey guys lets not start that negative crap yet now, Jonny is right, Gasol and Bynum would get ran out of the gym in a 7 second offense with Lee and Zbo running the floor. Did you guys watch that scrimmage, D.Lee was running the floor better than Q and most of the guards! Zbo impressed me too with his speed and they will only get in better shape physically as the season goes on. I personally think that Nate should start over Steph and Duhon in this system. He is a blur up and down the court and would put so much pressure on some of those big men you listed to get back on D that they would have to put a smaller, quicker PF like Odom, Brand, Scola in just to keep up. The reason coach D won with the Suns was because Nash pushed the ball up the court in 3 seconds and Matrix and Amare were right with him while Shaq, Duncan, Yao and a bunch of other 7'1" 300lb Centers couldn't keep up. Team USA did the exact same thing and had the horses to run like that. Hey, you know we have the horses too.. in Nate, Steph, JC, Chandler, Zbo and Lee. Jared and Gallo too when they are well. Q is 20lbs lighter as well but he is not a sf, he is a backup sg. |

| Can we chill on the negativity right now? And as Boogie said D'antoni won season after season without a center. Although, we don't have an Amare, we will be fine. I'll take 40 wins instead of D'antonis 60 with the suns.

| 70 losses would make us 12-70. obviously not 22-72. that's 12 games too many. you're saying we'd be ELEVEN GAMES WORSE THAN LAST YEAR?????? oh come now..... ![]() i'LL TAKE THAT BET..... Last edited by Jazzmo; 10-06-2008 at 12:33 PM. |

BUT SERIOUSLY, KAT...........consider this...... 1. curry was injured for a bit last season....he missed the last 20 games. then he goes to tim grover and sits on the playstation instead of putting in the work like qrich did. 2. now he falls sick with the bacterial infection. you have to wonder this.........why do all these "UNFORTUNATE" health related things happen with Curry and not other players on a regular basis? i'll tell you why, because the guy is NOT INTERESTED in being healthy at all. he's not interested in coming into a season in shape and being illness-free at the beginning of the season. 3. because of his illness, he hasn't even seen any of D'Antoni's practices. which already puts him behind everyone else on the team (including those players that didnt play but still watched the system in motion like Gallinari). 4. when has Curry been known to be a quick learner? the guy could never learn to rebound at his size or pass out of double teams in the post. just the fact that he hasn't been to the playoffs in his whole career shows me how much he has learned in his 7 years in the NBA. and now suddenly you expect him to learn D'Antoni's system on the fly??? Aint gonna happen. 5. Curry, the mental weakling that he is, he gets down on himself (as Qrich and others have said in the past.......he is the hardest on himself) and what does he do when faced with adversity...? He gets dejected, depressed, and goes and sits in the corner instead of fighting to make himself better. This was quite apparent from the constant beatdown he was receiving from other centers in the league before he got injured with the torn cartilage in right knee. 6. because of points 3, 4, and 5, D'Antoni will not be able to afford him playing time, and that means no chance of him "getting into shape" during game time. which means if he has a chance of getting into shape at the gym and learn the system, it's gonna have to be on those off days between games. it's not like his training camp was sabotaged because of his illness. he showed up to training camp out of shape, so it's not like he was going to have the best of camps anyways. WHY DO YOU THINK THAT THAT CAN CHANGE ANYTIME SOON?

| Superstar | wow kat great assesment. so we're gonna lose 70 games with the same team as last year and a coach that has a plan? no offense but you don't know what you're talking about. like starks said, the suns won without a center year after year. the suns thrived on small ball. what makes you think that just because teams are bigger that we're gonna lose? or lose 70 games??? sometimes that argument is true but with our quick guard that's not going to happen. i don't know if you're joking around or what but to say something that extreme is a little ridiculous. the knicks guards are going to run teams out the gym. nate is going to be huge this year and so are crawford and chandler.the knicks are going to surprise a lot of people. i like all the positive news coming out of camp. coach d sounds really upbeat and confident in the team and so do the players. curry is not going to make it in this system, there is NO way. he has had enough chances and we should know by now that he doesn't care about basketball. i just hope that the knicks can come to a settlement with marbury. the guy thinks he's going to start and judging from all the reports from camp he's not. if he whines just ONCE cut him cuz his immaturity will only bring the team down. everyone knows that. we'll also win more games, history don't lie! |

Jeffries has always been jello but now hes a Center who can bang with all the little centers in the NBA like Odgen,Yoa ,Duncan,Howard,Shack And our guards are gonna run who out the gym? A little wake up call for ya if you can't stop the other team you can't run! yeah i see it now Craw , Duhon ,Lee,Zack stoppers! we start Lee at center or Zack we will lose 70! I think your the one who's silly to believe otherwise! Wait til they have to play against other Teams pal! |
