Seriously, Danilo is no Houston. They don't even play the same position. Houston's made his money shooting the ball and eventually his knees were gonna give.
Danilo is a young man. He's played a tremendous amount of ball this past year. He's never run into the likes of Tractor. Sure, it's a rude awakening. He's got to get stronger and bigger.
I don't fault you for feeling Danilo is fragile. Out a month after a knock down from Tractor - makes you wonder. But c'mon....he's got time to heal, he's not playing for the Italian team and he's gonna be ready to bang come November. So i'm giving him a fair chance to prove his value.... |
i actually hesitated w/ the a houston line - his shot against the heat in game 7 is an all-time classic - i was really refering to late-career a houston - the one who crippled the team w/ incessant injuries..
i know ive been down on this kid since before the draft - but you have to admit that your 'He's played a tremendous amount of ball this past year' argument is flimsy at best -
they play closer to a college schedule in europe - he didnt play one game all summer until the 3/4 of a summer-league game in which he got hurt - for a 19 yr old kid to miss a month w/ a 'sore back' after playing 3/4 of one game is clearly not a good sign..
either the injury is a lot worse than first reported or this kid is an uberpussy - either way it's not looking good..
